Philosophy

Consciousness is a flowing river that forever travels through our life experience, continuously guiding us towards a greater understanding and embodiment of our highest potential.

At the heart of our life’s quest towards self-discovery is the hero’s journey: a natural confrontation with challenge and strife which affords us the opportunity to face and surpass our personal limitations. This creates the chance for us to advance, evolve, and fulfil the role of the hero within our life story.

When navigated successfully, these challenges function as powerful catalysts that encourage us to build fortitude, courage and wisdom. They provide the greatest opportunities for us to achieve a solidity of character, drawing us ever closer to a stronger sense of self-connection and a fulfilling life infused with meaning and purpose.

Approach

The quality of our experience fluctuates in synchrony with our ever-changing surroundings. As life’s challenges arise, we can sometimes find ourselves entangled in cycles of emotion that we wish to escape. Within therapy, you will increase your level of self-awareness, building the knowledge base you need to proactively transform the elements of your experience that block you from reaching your full potential.

You will increase your self-understanding by tracing your thoughts and actions to their origins within your life history whilst learning how to apply actionable strategies that will help you to ground and elevate your experience in the present. As you start to change, so will your surroundings: through achieving a greater sense of self-resonance, you will slowly start to catalyse a shift in your environment, and the future that you wish to achieve will slowly start to seem more attainable. As therapy progresses, your sense of self-confidence will grow so that you feel ready and able to continue your life’s journey independently by the time our sessions end.

I have supported many clients who have achieved significant personal transformations using CBT. These include clients experiencing: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma, Low self-confidence and Low Self-esteem, OCD, and learning difficulties (such as ADHD).

Motivation

Human civilisation is a living, breathing, interconnected network of conscious beings, through which life force energy is continually flowing. As each unique individual achieves a greater level of self-connection, the positive nature of their contribution to this network increases. As one person rises, we all rise together on the sea of human experience.

It has been an honour to play a central role in the life journey of others. It is continually rewarding and inspiring to see the positive changes people can achieve within therapy.

About Me

I am a very proactive person, and I love to fill my free time with practices that give me a sense of ascension and personal growth.

In Plato’s “Republic”, the main character Socrates emphasises the need to seek out the good, the true, and the beautiful, as searching for this platonic trinity helps us to ground and control our sometimes-unruly animal nature.

This message resonated with me, and I spend much of my time seeking out the good, the true, and the beautiful within the activities that I love: creating music (drums, guitar, and singing), reading, training muay Thai, practising yoga, listening to science podcasts, and watching comedy.

I had a course of CBT Counselling with The Harley Psychology & Therapy Group (Richmond) and although it didn’t provide me with the quick fix miracle solution I was hoping for, it has made my problems feel more manageable.
