Philosophy

Each person’s experience and challenges are unique, and as such, there is no “one- size-fits-all” solution in therapy. Over my time in practice, I’ve come to appreciate that the most effective approach is one that adapts to you as an individual. My integrative approach combines different therapeutic techniques and tools to meet you where you are and address the full spectrum of your emotional, mental, and behavioural needs.

My aim is always to foster a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, uncover your strengths, and work toward the improvements you seek.

Approach

I’m counselling psychologist with over 30 years of experience, with more than half of that time working therapeutically and directly with neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD) and mental health difficulties. My approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of
therapeutic modalities to tailor each session to your unique needs. Through the lens of integrative therapy, I combine the best aspects of psychodynamic, systemic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy to empower my clients on their path toward their own goals for change and self-discovery.

The integrative approach to therapy acknowledges that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for emotional well-being. While some clients may find CBT most helpful, others may benefit more from exploring past experiences through psychodynamic
therapy. Narrative therapy allows you to connect with your sense of self and make sense of your life story in new ways. By drawing from these varied modalities, we can create a personalized treatment plan that’s uniquely suited to you. This approach provides flexibility, combining insights from multiple perspectives to bring about meaningful, lasting change.

Through this collaborative therapeutic process, I’ll guide you to gain clarity, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and create meaningful change in your life. Whether you’re struggling with a specific issue or looking to achieve personal growth, I’m here
to help you find the path forward.

Motivation

Carl Jung once said, “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed”. For me, I believe it is a privilege to work with someone and bear witness to their growth.

About Me

I am Australian born with a Mediterranean heritage and have lived and practiced overseas and in the UK. I believe a deep understanding of our own identity plays an integral role in who we are and who we become. I have enjoyed yoga and swimming
for years, which help me to feel restored and at peace. I enjoy travel and experiencing new environs.

I had a course of CBT Counselling with The Harley Psychology & Therapy Group (Richmond) and although it didn’t provide me with the quick fix miracle solution I was hoping for, it has made my problems feel more manageable.
