About The Parent Zone
Dr Gray has created this free resource to help parents, and their children navigate through the challenges that life throws at us. The resource begins at the beginning with starting a family and follows a path through to your child’s adolescence and early adulthood. There is also a section specifically to help support your mental well-being, which is ultimately the foundation for your child’s mental well-being. The resource draws the most up-to-date research from the field of mental well-being and psychology and Dr Gray’s 30 years of clinical practice as a psychologist.
Each section contains links to tests to help you determine what the problems is, as well as articles and videos. Some of the information is specifically aimed at children, some is aimed at parents, the idea being that you can learn about the problem that your child is struggling with and the techniques to overcome them and then adapt what you have learned to your child’s specific needs.
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, a situation demands more than we can provide alone, so at the end of the section there is information about how to access professional support.
