A Recent Testimonial
Abigail - Online via Video“I am a British expat living abroad and I decided I wanted some counselling sessions in English. I decided to see whether such sessions would be available remotely from UK. Specifically I wanted to explore the psychological aspects of chronic pain that I had been experiencing over a long period of time. The dedicated counsellor who was assigned to me was great. They provided me with a structure with which to help analyse my situation, some valuable insights into my issues and some techniques to help me cope with them”.

Online Counselling offers an accessible, convenient and discrete alternative to traditional face to face therapy. Online Counselling provides you with the same experience as face to face counselling but in the comfort and privacy of your own home or office.
Online Counselling is increasingly becoming the counselling and therapy format of choice for people with demanding and inflexible schedules or family commitments. Online Counselling can be the solution when competing demands threaten to undermine your attempts to resolve psychological, emotional, interpersonal and/or behavioural problems such as anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders (inc anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder), stress, panic, low self esteem and confidence. Sometimes trying to find the time to meet regularly with a counsellor or therapist can add to stress and anxiety as you try to juggle numerous responsibilities; Online Counselling can be an efficient and less stressful way of achieving the same end results, with no additional time for travelling to and from a clinic and a wider choice of appointment times.
Our Clinical and Counselling Psychologists are able to offer a wide range of appointments times to suit your schedule and their expertise and experience means that you will quickly be able to get your life back on track by overcoming whatever emotional obstacles are currently blocking your way. Skilled in dealing with the full range of mental health and interpersonal problems including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sleep problems, phobias, bereavement and children’s behavioural problems our clinical and counselling psychologists will definitely be able to help you via the use of this new technology.
At the British CBT & Counselling Service we have been advocating the use of new technology for the delivery of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other forms of counselling and therapy for several years, as have the NHS who are now increasingly using it instead of the traditional face to face therapy format.
What does it involve?
Simply decide on your preferred choice of Video calling technology in advance (Zoom, Facetime, Whatsapp, Skype or whatever you choice) and your Counselling Psychologist will contact you at the time of your appointment. They will then assess your problem and using the most effective practical and psychological strategies and techniques available will develop and implement a treatment plan which in a matter of weeks/months will have you feeling better, more confident and happier than you have ever felt.
If you would like any additional information about how Online counselling works, our service or you would just like some advice about how Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or other types of counselling might help you please do not hesitate to contact us via email or telephone.
